Pace Specialty opens in New Haven, Connecticut

Pace Reinsurance Services LLC has launched Pace Specialty, its specialty trading division, from offices at the Connecticut Financial Center in downtown New Haven.

The division is licensed as a reinsurance intermediary by the Insurance Department, State of Connecticut, under licence number 3004387710, and forms part of Pace Underwriting Group.

Six lines from day one

Pace Specialty places casualty, commercial professional indemnity, financial lines, marine cargo, property and standalone political violence and terrorism risk. Each class is handled by people with technical underwriting backgrounds in that market.

The focus is deliberately narrow: complex placements that do not fit a standard form, where structuring the programme around the risk produces a better outcome than shopping a submission around.
